Imagine – your supermarket where you can find everything your heart desires. We fill the shelves with high-quality food at fair prices and lay the foundations, from shopping trolleys to modern refrigeration systems.
Your contribution is important and helps us to turn our minimarket into a real SUPERmarkt! We are raising € 70,000 by the end of October – and you are wondering what the money is needed for? It’s about pre-financing our purchases and equipping the supermarket: shelves, shopping trolleys and much more depend on our crowdfunding.
This is how it works – your money is not wasted!
Our crowdfunding project works in 2 ways:
- We swap: Money for a thank you.
You support us now so that we can fully equip the MILA supermarket for its opening in spring 2025. In return, you will receive, for example, a shopping voucher, a cheese subscription, a membership or another thank-you gift – depending on what you choose. - MILA receives your donation.
You can also support us with a donation – or donate a shopping trolley or shelf, for example – without expecting anything in return.
No matter what type of support you choose: Every small contribution has a big impact!
What is MILA?
MILA is different from the big supermarket chains: MILA is open to everyone who enjoys super good food and wants affordable, high-quality food that is kind to the environment and animals. Many of our products are organic, regional, seasonal and packaged as little as possible. We also have affordable conventional products and international food. MILA is committed to transparency and fairness. We only add 30% to the purchase price. That is very low in comparison. Many products – especially fruit and vegetables – are cheaper at MILA than at supermarket chains. As a member, you can also nominate a co-purchaser and help determine MILA’s product range. As a co-operative, MILA belongs to all members together. We are building MILA in Vienna along the lines of community supermarkets in other cities such as Paris, New York and Munich. In order to be able to offer the best products at affordable prices, all members work 3 hours a month in the supermarket: Checking delivery notes, stocking shelves, putting up price tags or cashing up.
